The City of Woodstock, Waste Management, Secure Recycling, USAgain, and Georgia Document Destruction bring you a day of recycling! Drive through, we’ll unload for you!
Electronics - Cell Phones - Batteries
All equipment will be broken down by Secure Recycling and processed so it can be re-used, thus lessening demands on local landfills and keeping toxins from leaking into our soil and waterways! All collections will be done free of charge, except for TV’s and CRT Monitors $ 25 and LCD Monitors with a Broken Screen $ 5. Cell phones will be collected for the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program. Each donated cell phone provides a soldier overseas with 60 minutes of prepaid calling service so they may phone their families back home.
Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs - Hearing Aids – Eyeglasses – Magazine/Newspaper
Light bulbs must be in a clear plastic, sealed bag. We can no longer accept the long tubular style of fluorescent light bulbs. Home Depot stores will accept compact fluorescent light bulbs all year long!
Clothing - Shoes - Belts - Hats - Bedding - Towels - Curtains - Purses - Backpacks
We have teamed up with USAgain to recycle textiles which will reduce land fill waste, emission gasses, and save water.
Document Destruction
Georgia Document Destruction will be on site to shred all of your confidential documents. There will be a limit of 5 boxes per car. For business shredding service, please call 770-516-6500.
City Wide Yard Sale - All weekend!
The Great American Cleanup organizes millions of volunteers in activities that encourage individual stewardship for the environment and care for the community. Efforts in litter prevention and removal, waste reduction, recycling, beautification, and community greening result in cleaner, greener, safer and more beautiful public spaces. In conjunction with Earth Week, residents are encouraged, city-wide, to hold yard sales!
